Call for papers
We invite artists and researchers to take part in our study circle that investigates The experiential in artistic practice: methods, knowledges and reflective processes. We welcome participants from all geographical, artistic, cultural and academic contexts and backgrounds, both outside and within universities and other institutions.
Theme of the symposium:
This symposium will focus on investigating reflection as a tool for artistic research. We are looking for proposals for workshops, interventions, presentations, performances and experiments that engage and depart from ideas and concepts related to reflection as a knowledge creating process, a tool for understanding the practice and a space in which new connections can be made.
Dates
Symposium dates 29th July – 5th August 2024.
Submission of proposals by 30th April 2024. Applicants will be notified by 7th May.
Place
Løgumkloster Højskole, Brorsonsvej 2, 6240 Løgumkloster, Denmark
Cost
Participants will arrange their own transport to and from the symposium location. For low-income, travelling and other forms of bursaries please send your application to: arrkom@nsuweb.org
Submissions:
Submissions must be related to the theme of the symposium. They can be of any genre, any mix of genres, disciplines and media.
Please send ONE PDF document no longer than ONE page, containing:
- Your name
- Title of your presentation
- Abstract (500 w max)
- Bio (200 w max), including country of residence

CIRCLE 7
Circle 7 is comprised of international researchers working in the fields of art and artistic research, and it was developed within the Nordic and Baltic framework of the Nordic Summer University. Its primary aim is to provide a forum for experimentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration, welcoming members from inside and outside academia.
