At the beginning of the Summer Session regional meetings are held, where participants gather according to regional affiliations, which is based on either nationality or place of residence. The regional meetings discusses issues related to the NSU, and appoints representatives for the General Assembly, as well as to the Board nomination committee. The region that will organize the next Summer Session appoints an arrangement committee.
