If you are travelling to Lithuania through Vilnius International Airport (126 km to Druskininkai – near 2 hours drive by bus), you can take a train, minibus or bus from the airport (Oro uostas) to the Vilnius central bus station (Vilniaus autobusų stotis): http://www.vilnius-airport.lt/en/planning-a-trip/how-to-reach/train-bus/.

For the minibus, please watch the column – Oro uostas (Airport) → Stotis (Central train station). The price is 1 euro.
For the bus, please, use bus NO. 1, the schedule you could find here: http://stops.lt/vilnius/#bus/1/b-a/en You can buy a ticket in the bus, it’s cost is 1 euro. In the bus only cash is accepted.
It is also possible to book a taxi from the airport to the bus station. It is better to book it by phone (for example Smart Taxi taxi +37052000820) because it is cheaper to book than just to find a car at the airport (the difference could be more than 2 times). The price for a taxi is near 7 euros. The operators speak English.
From the Vilnius Central Bus station you can travel by bus to Druskinikai bus station. You can find the schedule and book the tickets here: http://www.autobusubilietai.lt/en/popular-bus-routes/Vilnius-Druskininkai/ The buses go every hour, the price for the ticket is up to 10 euros. You can buy a ticket at the station or in the bus. In the bus only cash is accepted.
If you are travelling to Lithuania through Kaunas International Airport (135 km to Druskininkai – near 2.40 hours drive by bus), you can take a city bus NO. 29, 29E. City bus line route going to City Center: Kaunas Airport – Vytauto ave. (Kaunas Bus Station). If you arrive to Kaunas on a late night flight, City bus No. 29E is for your convenience. Every day the bus leaves the Airport for the city centre only after the last flight has arrived. Passengers may pay for the tickets on the buses. The price of a single-use ticket is 1 euro. Dear participant of the Nordic Summer University Summer Session 2015, we are trying to make your journey from Vilnius to Druskininkai comfortable, and for those who arrive to Vilnius late in the evening of the 18th of July we would like to offer a special bus, due to the reason that there is no transportation between Vilnius and Druskininkai after 20:30 or 8:30 pm local time.
